This ministry is to reach the
deaf for Christ through
interpreting worship services in
a caring environment and to show
our love of Christ to the
hearing impaired in our
congregation as well as to those
in the community.
Goals:
Find out what the need
is in the community by
contacting census for Lake
County and Deaf Services.
To learn to sign and
read signing by taking
classes with Ruby Samples or
other outside sources.
Socialize with the Deaf
and become more comfortable
by offering social
activities and Bible classes
for deaf and hearing
impaired.
Implement certified
interpreters by finding out
the requirements needed and
class availability.
Contact the community
through newspaper
advertisement and civic
community centers of our
ministry.
Offer services to other
via Sonquest and Spiritual
Growth Workshop.
Deaf Workshops for the
Brotherhood.
